This ongoing work investigates urban migratory plant life as a form of citizenship. Using tracing, woodblock printing and generative coding to remix hybrid cultures found along the Sumidagawa river, which was the main port of entry for goods and ideas to the city of Edo. Today, however, river haulage has largely been replaced by highway 6, which runs parallel to the river and continues to provide a route for shipping containers from the port to polis.
