This is the last stop on our US tour. We had a great audience who learned more about the processes and materials of Japanese woodblock printmaking with master woodblock carver Motoharu Asaka. Participants made their own prints at the end.

At the end of the day we put Berkeley Art Museum’s community risograph to the test! We printed separations of the Great Wave, hand-carved and printed by Asaka in the neon colors of Japan’s Showa retro reprographics machine—the riso printer!
