Join our editathon and make a difference!

Wikipedia is the world’s 7th most accessed website this year but suffers from content gaps and biases that are well documented:

Since 2018, we have been joining hands with the global Art + Feminism movement and our on-campus community at Temple to increase edits about women in the arts, especially in Japan where we are based.

And hang out with us in this one-day workshop/editathon on Zoom. We will help beginners get started with editing, and everyone of all gender expressions and identities is welcome to join in diversity editing on their chosen topics or work from our “red list”.

This event is the beginning of a season of seminars and discussion on diversity and representation in art.

Temple University, Japan celebrates women in the arts in Japan and beyond

In conjunction with a season of events surrounding Women’s Day, TUJ’s adjunct professors Louise Rouse and Deanna MacDonald will be bringing you a Wikipedia Editathon via Art + Feminism.

⁠⁠Join us in this international movement, expanding and updating Wikipedia entries on subjects related to art, gender, and feminism. ⁠⁠EVERYONE is welcome! People of all gender identities and expressions are invited to participate. Come, learn to edit, and make a difference.⁠⁠Virtual Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon .
